QTI ValidationEnsuring QTI documents are valid is extremely important for maximising interoperability across different tools. QTItools provides two tools for helping to ensure that QTI assessments are valid and, thus suitable for use with the other QTItools projects. The stand-alone validatr tool is a desktop application that is capable of real-time validation of QTI v2.1 tests. The validatr tool is capable of showing the user the locations of all errors, and warns of possible problems. The tool has limited editing facilities, which enable problems to be fixed quickly. Finally, validatr is capable of showing the flow of items in a test graphically. More information about the validatr tool, including help and instructions, can be found on the wiki. To try validatr, use the links on the right. QTItools also provides an online validation tool that is capable of generating a validity report for uploaded assessments and content packages. To use the online tool, select your file and press the validate button on the right. FeedbackPlease send any comments or error reports to validatr@qtitools.org. |
